Cookie Policy
Effective Date: August 14, 2026 | Version 1.0
This Cookie Policy explains how QuoteNest uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you use our website and SaaS dashboard. It supplements our Privacy Policy and provides detailed information about the types of cookies we use, their purpose, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide analytics data, and remember your preferences. Cookies may be 'session cookies' (deleted when you close your browser) or 'persistent cookies' (remain until they expire or are manually deleted).
2. Cookies We Use
| Cookie Name/Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-* (Supabase) | Essential | Authentication session management. Required to keep you signed in to your dashboard securely. | Session |
| ph_* (PostHog) | Analytics | Tracks anonymous product usage patterns (pages visited, features clicked, session duration) to help us improve QuoteNest. | 1 year |

| __vercel_* (Vercel) | Essential | Infrastructure cookies used for load balancing, security, and edge network routing. | Session |
3. Essential vs. Non-Essential Cookies
- Essential Cookies: Required for the core functionality of QuoteNest (authentication, security, infrastructure). These cannot be disabled without breaking the application.
- Analytics Cookies: Used to understand how users interact with our product. These help us prioritize features and fix usability issues. You may disable these.
- Functional Cookies: Used for affiliate tracking on the marketing site. These do not affect your dashboard experience.
4. How to Manage Cookies
- You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings.
- Most browsers allow you to: view existing cookies, accept or reject cookies individually or globally, and delete all cookies when you close the browser.
- Note: Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to your QuoteNest dashboard.
Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions on managing cookies.
5. Third-Party Cookies
- Some cookies on our site are placed by third-party services we use (listed in Section 2).
- We do not control how these third parties use their cookies.
- For more information, refer to their respective privacy policies: PostHog, Supabase, Lemon Squeezy.
6. Do Not Track (DNT)
Some browsers send a 'Do Not Track' signal. QuoteNest does not currently respond to DNT signals, but you can manage cookies using the methods described in Section 4.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
